Description

Facility Maintenance at Messiah University has an opening for a full-time Electrician.

Responsibilities: This year-round, full-time position is utilized to install, repair, troubleshoot, test, replace, and/or maintain all electrical equipment on campus. This includes low, line, and high voltage wiring and equipment some of the items services will be 480 v, 277v, 120v, or 208v. It includes service from as small as replacing a 110 wire to servicing a 3 phase switchgear.

Skills and Characteristics: Excellent knowledge of electrical & building codes; knowledge and experience with 3 phase systems and wiring; knowledge and experience with motor & HVAC control; knowledge and ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, etc.; ability to troubleshoot, test, install and maintain electrical wiring and wiring systems; basic computer skills including the use of campus e-mail system and software programs used to perform job.
