This position is responsible for developing and managing daily maintenance programs for cleanliness, food safety, sanitation and organization in all kitchens. This position is responsible for maintaining china, glassware, silverware and other food equipment inventories in addition to purchasing all china, glassware, silverware, food equipment and cleaning supplies. A hands on presence with the Stewarding team is expected.
Job Functions (items marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this position):
- Lead and supervise stewarding staff: hire, schedule, train, motivate, and counsel all staff on a department that operates twenty four hours a day seven days a week,*
- Maintain sanitation, safety, security and quality standards and proactively create programs to address shortcomings. Work closely with maintenance to ensure that repairs are reported and done in a timely manner.*
- Purchase all cleaning supplies for the F & B department and china, glass, silver and smallwares.*
- Ensure that quarterly inventories or when business needs demands, are conducted and results are compiled and reported accurately.*
- Work closely with culinary leadership to ensure that the Stewarding department complies with all timelines to ensure all food is delivered at the appropriate time for catered events.*
- Assist with payroll, glass, china, silver and smallwares budgeting and ensure that these budgets are adhered to.*
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of Food & Beverage, Hospitality/Tourism AND/OR related experience.
- Minimum of 4 years supervisory experience.
- 18 years of age or older
- Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
