Salary: $50,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year

Job Summary: Advantage Lifts & Automotive Lift Service are rapidly growing Companies that specialize in the manufacture, sales, service and installation of automotive lifts and garage equipment. The Staff Accountant will prepare and maintain financial records to track the Company’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and other related financial activities; work with the other members of the accounting team; and report to the Controller.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform general cost accounting and other related duties for the Company.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Maintain the general ledger.
  • Code invoices, set up new accounts, reconcile accounts, and close the monthly books.
  • Reconcile bank accounts at least monthly, verify deposits, and address inquiries from banks.
  • Reconcile cash disbursement accounts, payroll, customer accounts, and other financial accounts; manage accounts receivable collections.
  • Customer account management including invoicing and follow-up.
  • Verify and/or complete payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensure payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.
  • File tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies.
  • Manage the purchasing and invoicing system.
  • Maintain knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
  • Assist with the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or related field, required
  • At least three years of related experience required

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
  • Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Ability to correctly prepare tax reports.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Net Suites ERP will be helpful.
  • Reliable, trustworthy, and committed to team’s success.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Able to thrive in a high-volume, deadline-driven work environment.
  • Must be flexible in an ever-changing environment.
