Resource MFG is hiring Entry Level Machine Operator Assistant in Lancaster, PA

Available shift for machine operator assistant:

4:00 pm to 2:00 am

Work Week: Monday to Friday

Pay Rate: $17.50 to 18.00

Machine Operator Assistant Duties:

• Read press schedules to ensure that the correct paper is supplied to the presses
• Ensure paper meets job specifications and paper splices are prepared in a timely manner
• Set up quality splices that run through the press with minimum paper weave and sheeter jams
• Keep roll tags for each roll used in order at the press
• Remove finished product to WIP
• Label unused stock with roll tag and replace core bungs for return to inventory
• Supply press with fountain solution as needed
• Keep press supplied with chemicals, rags and other consumables as needed
• Assist press operator in webbing press
• Maintain cutoff registration and inspect product for quality defects during the run

Machine Operator Assistant Requirements:

• Good communication skills, both oral and written
• Basic math skills
• Mechanical trouble-shooting skills a plus
• Understanding of all procedures and appropriate terminology, job flow, job tickets, and comply with the quality standards for the Press area
• Ability to communicate with Supervision, Operators, other assistants and Mechanics
• Availability to work overtime when needed
