Come Join our team as a summer Seasonal Maintenance Technician!!
Summary: Through this seasonal opportunity, learn the many duties of a Maintenance Technician. Be paired with an existing Maintenance Technician and work hand in hand to repair and maintain machinery such as conveyor systems, augers, motor controls, motors and gearboxes, welding repairs, electrical troubleshooting, and many other production machines and equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: to include the following. Other duties as assigned.
- Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
- Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
- Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
- Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
- Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
- Repairs or replaces defective parts.
- Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
- Lubricates and cleans parts.
- Starts a device to test their performance.
- Sets up and operates drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
- Initiates purchase order for parts and machines.
- Repairs electrical equipment.
- Performs skilled maintenance activities including welding, brazing, soldering, and plumbing.
- Checks and repairs pumps, fans, valves, and motors.
- Adjusts, repairs, and replace electrical and electronic pneumatic relays.
- Performs preventative maintenance.
- Operates handsaw, drill press, and electric drill.
- Maintains tools and machinery in good condition and uses all tools carefully and as instructed.
- Repairs equipment using common welding techniques.
- Follow safety procedures and regulations.
- Works flexible hours to meet project/task deadlines.
- Communicates with supervisor regarding task assignment, task completion and deviation from task schedule.
- Maintains and complete task schedule including written and verbal requests.
- Communicates suggestions, questions and concerns to supervisor.
- Provides professional service.
- Works effectively, efficiently and positively with minimal supervision.
- Maintains the cleanliness of work area.
- Adheres to safety, food safety, quality and Good Manufacturing Practices regulations.
- Reports safety, food safety, and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
Supervisor Responsibilities:

Language Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ration, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
