Practical Nursing Application

Thank you for your interest in the Practical Nursing program! Nursing is a rewarding career where each and every day is different. Whether you’re a high school graduate ready to get started in the medical field or a current nursing assistant ready for what comes next, a career as a Licensed Practical Nurse might be for you. We are currently accepting applications for the July 2025 class. Admission to the Practical Nursing program is selective, and you are strongly encouraged to complete all admissions requirements by April 30, 2025.

Full-Time Program Application

Full-Time Program Application for the following programs:
Automotive Technology – Learn comprehensive auto mechanics from engine rebuilding and maintenance to drive train systems, brakes, chassis, and more. Includes State Safety Inspector and Emissions Inspector certifications.

Cosmetology – Prepare for entry-level positions in the beauty industry. Learn the skills and knowledge necessary to pass the State Board of Cosmetology licensing exam.

Dental Assistant – Learn to set up equipment, prepare patients for treatment, and maintain patient records. Includes externship.

HVAC – Learn to perform a variety of technical tasks related to installing, maintaining and repairing heating, cooling, ventilation and related systems. EPA 608 certification classes included.

Mechatronics – this high-demand program is the convergence of the major disciplines of mechanics, electronics, informatics, and automation. Includes Level I Siemens Certification.

Medical Assistant – prepare for employment in the healthcare industry. Learn both administrative duties and clinical procedures. Includes externship.

Medical Billing & Coding – Learn how to analyze medical records and assign codes that classify diagnoses and procedures. Prepare for the Certified Professional Coder (CPC) exam. (program currently unavailable)

Practical Nursing – Learn basic knowledge, skills, and abilities of a practical nurse. Completers will be eligible to sit for the NCLEX-PN Exam.

Welding Technology – Gain the necessary welding skills, safety and technical information required to obtain entry-level employment as a welder. Learn the techniques and skills of most major welding processes. Includes AWS D1.1 3G Limited certification.

Short-Term Program Registration

Short Term Program Registration for the following programs:

Nurse Aide Training – Learn the basic knowledge, skills, and abilities of a nurse aide. Prepare to become a member of the healthcare team to assist residents in long-term care facilities.

Phlebotomy – learn to understand and perform phlebotomy procedures, safety precautions, infection control, and different types of venipuncture collections.

Basic Welding – Learn the skills necessary to secure entry-level employment in the welding industry. Covers the required techniques and skills needed to pass the AWS D1.1 3G Limited Certification. (certification not included.)

Nail Technician – Gain the skills needed to provide high-quality manicures and pedicures, apply artificial nails, and advise clients on nail care and use of products and colors. Prepare for State Board Certification as a Nail Technician.

Plumbing Apprenticeship Program (Related Training) – provides related training (RT) primarily for individuals working in the trade for an employer that participates in a PA state-approved apprenticeship program.

Commercial Truck Driving Program (CDL A or B) – Prepares students for employment in the transportation industry. Includes classroom, yard, and road time. Preparation for knowledge test provided. Road test included.
