Valerie shares her story with us:
“After graduating December 2020, I passed NCLEX on my first try and became an LPN. I enrolled at HACC in Fall 2021, in the part time program while working at UPMC bedside, then transitioned to Penn State outpatient. I fallowed my heart into home health as a means to work full time through the RN program. I fell in love with the flexibility and fulfillment of 1:1 direct care. I graduated with my Associates Degree in December 2024! I have since accepted a position at Bayada Skilled Nursing in York as a Case Manager overseeing the care of the clients and supervising staff. I never imagined how nursing would change my life. It all started with an open house and a desire for change. Thank you for the beautiful life I had hoped for, by serving others.”
