Nursing Student Wins Scholarship!

Practical Nursing student Comfort Donkor was recently awarded a $1,000 scholarship from PAPNA, the Pennsylvania Association of Practical Nursing Administrators. This award, one of only three in the entire state, had specific criteria, which included: high academic and clinical performance; satisfactory attendance; quality of essay; and a recommendation from the Practical Nursing Program Administrator, Frances Biestch.

Comfort, who is on track to complete her program in December, stated the following: “When I become a practical nurse, I would like to work as a bedside nurse to help patients. I will care for and advocate for my patients to get the better-quality healthcare they need and deserve. These contributions include caring for patients and advocating for my patients and fellow nurses.”

Congratulations to Comfort, a deserving recipient of this year’s PAPNA scholarship!
