Two ambitious high school students have recently achieved a significant milestone by completing their commercial driver training program and successfully passing their CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) exam.
Jay Smullen and Jacob Dunkleburger, both seniors at Dauphin County Technical School, enrolled in the CDL training program earlier this year. The program, a partnership between York County School of Technology and Dauphin County Technical school, is designed to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to operate commercial vehicles and combines theoretical instruction with hands-on driving experience.
Throughout the course, Jay and Jacob mastered essential topics such as vehicle inspection, safety protocols, and maneuvering techniques. Their commitment to paid off when they both passed the CDL exam on their first attempt.
Congratulations to Jay and Jacob for their outstanding accomplishment!
